Lighting Designer


Born in Barcelona, in 1954.


Graduated in Art History and Contemporary Art Theory at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Graduated in Photography and Grafic Design by EINA School in Barcelona.


Press photographer from 1972 to 1979 (Tele-Express, Mundo-Diario, Triunfo, Cambio 16, Mundo, Intervíu, Primera Plana, etc.). In 1979 he points towards cinema as professional activity and he devoted himself to direction of photography in feature films and theater lighting, big events and exhibitions.


He has been lighting consultant for the Science Museum andfor the Contemporary Art Museum (MACBA) and for the Egiptian Art Museum, in Barcelona, and for the National Art Center Reina Sofía Museum (Jean Nouvel building) in Madrid.


In 2004 he creates the Spaillum studio beside Tomàs Pladevall, for architectural lighting design, and big events or exhibitions.
